Our Tea Room is located in an 1876 Second Empire Victorian Home with a beautiful original mansard roof. The building is the former home of Elliott Nugent, famous playwright and author. The house features eleven rooms, including servants' quarters, four fireplaces - 3 Italian Marble and 1 beautiful mahogany. A massive mahogany winding staircase, antiques, vintage clothing collection from the 1850's, and exquisite Victorian decor completes the home.

Owners Lisa Wendling and her mother, Rebecca Contini Ourant are 3rd and 4th generation restaurateurs who provide you with over 50 years in the food service industry along with superior customer service. They carry on the traditions set forth by their great-grandparents who immigranted from Italy to America and began a restaurant before being able to speak English.

Grandpa Leonard
Elizabeth's Grandfather Leonard was a chef who studied in Europe. He was executive chef to the officers during WWII. As a young girl, Lisa was glued to his side in his restaurant, always eager to learn the culinary art.
